Over the years we have acquired a great deal of knowledge regarding driving, hiking,
live briefly in the desert. A well-rehearsed team accompanies the travelers on their journeys in the desert.

For centuries, caravans from the sub-Saharan regions moved north to Morocco. They gathered from various provenances again and again in the well-known place Timbouctou on Nigerknie  (also called Tomboctou)
From here they went west, reached MAURITANIA,
then moved north to Oualata, Tichit and on to Chinguetti and Ouadane (also Wadane) From here on three different routes to Morocco, to Marrakech, Casablanca and Fes.
In this huge Mauritanian region, the traveler experiences everything his heart desires
A first conversation with us can and will show what the customer likes.

desert and water
Date and price on request

The aim of our 17-day pioneer journey is to follow this old caravan route in a 4x4 (800 km of sand and desert tracks) and then continue south to the Senegal River. Thanks to water, there is agriculture here, people even plant rice and raise all kinds of livestock, which is then transported north on the Road of Hope and which forms the basis of food for many Mauritanians.

On this round trip we not only cross the most diverse landscapes and climate zones but also ethnic groups. Mauritania, these are primarily Moors, but they are also Tuaregs in the desert and these are rather black-skinned people who have their roots in the Senegal delta, partly in Senegal itself. The Wolof, Poular, Barnbaba and Soniki.
Towards the end of the trip, desert and water also means that we set up our tents on the Atlantic and get an impression of fishing, which is also an extremely important industry in Mauritania. (You can find frozen fish from the Atlantic in the middle of the desert, in Tichit

Other highlights of the trip will be

The nomads come from time to time to stay in the capital, which has quickly taken on the appearance of a modern city. Today it (officially) has around one million inhabitants.
